Bob Powell FAICD


Bob is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and until July 2011 retired after 36 years as Chairman and Director of a number of companies including Credit Union Australia (CUA); CUA Health; Australian National Credit union, Advantage Credit Union, Credicorp Insurances Ltd and Health Professionals Insurance Australia.

Bob is also a Fellow of Australian Mutuals Institute.

David Langworthy MAICD

Deputy Chairman

David is CEO of Bev Marks Australia, a Victorian furniture retailer named Australian Retailer of the Year 2009 with 12 showrooms and 100 plus staff across Victoria. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a founding Retail partner of the Australian Made Campaign.

David is also Chairman of Disaster Aid International.

Peter Faulkner

Director and Treasurer

Peter is a mechanical engineer having worked both overseas and within Australia.  He was responsible for the set-up and management of a ceramic magnet company in Chennai, India.

Retired, Peter was also co-owner and Director of Bendigo and Northcote Potteries.


Geoff Brown


Geoff is a Refrigeration Engineer and past Proprietor and Director of Supercold Refrigeration Services Pty Ltd, Brown’s Cheltenham Road Pty Ltd and Aussie Ventures Pty Ltd, all privately listed companies.

Geoff is a member of the Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills with 43 years of continuous Rotary membership


John O’Reilly

Executive Director

John O’Reilly is the Founder (since 1979) and Managing Director of Lee St John, a national provider of corporate and promotional apparel for Australian corporate clients.

He is an advisor to the Tibetan Village Project Australia and a great supporter of all things community.


John Heathcote


Until recently, John was the owner for 30 years of national insurance Company, Consolidated Insurance Agencies Pty Ltd and still remains a licensed insurance broker.

The Hon. Sam Doumany


Sam joined the Disaster Aid Australia Board in 2010.  He is the past Attorney General of Queensland and today operates a successful consultancy to government and Australia’s largest corporations.


Brian Crews


Brian has spent his working life in the engineering, construction and chemical industries with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a postgraduate Degree in Administration.

Before retiring he owned a small business distributing chemical products for industry.

He is community minded and involved in various projects assisting his community. His goal is to use his accumulated working life experiences for the benefit of the recipients of Disaster Aid Australia humanitarian aid.

Retired Property Valuer and Real Estate Agent.Was the founder and managing Director of Rice Property Consulting a Company that provided Independent Property Advice to many throughout the South-East of Melbourne for approximately the past 40 years.

Inducted into Rotary in 1976.Has been a Member of 3 clubs and am presently a Member of the Rotary Club of Glenferrie.A past President of the Rotary Club of Dandenong Central.A Paul Harris Fellow.

Has been involved continually in Charity work mainly with Windermere Child and Family Services being Chairman for some years.
Received Centenary Medal in recognition of past Community work.

A Father of 3 and Grand Father of 8.
